Would we find you if we looked?

In recent days I have been thinking a lot about everyday events and their relevance to this situation. Everything has become a symbol or a sign in an attempt to find Him. I watched Prince Caspian a few days ago and I tried to liken the plot to the current situation. Encroaching death to the Telmarines who prepare to destroy the Narnians and Caspian (Our lives). The part of the movie (book) that stood out to me was the part where they send Lucy out to the darkest parts of the forest to find Aslan.

Would you be found now if we looked?

Would you ride in to rescue us?

Awaken us in whose lives have lost hope?

Would you save us or must we trudge on and suffer?

I guess a difficulty with what we face is that all will face it someday. I don't find much assurance in the people who offer comfort by saying our God will surely protect you. Doesn't he himself say, you will share in my suffering as you share in my glory. How can we expect him to spare us?

So my prayer has become, take this cup from us if it can be taken but not my will but yours.

I am open to the creative work that God is doing and will continue to do.
