Today I was reflecting on why people become pastors and how I would ever become that accomplished 30 year old version of myself. I thought of Todd, Seetoh, and Rob and what they all had in common with the prospective me. Here is what I think.
These people all want to spread their yoke.
They all feel that they know something about God and the way things are and want others to follow them or take on their yoke. I know at this point that some will flog me but being around these three (physically the exception of one) reminded me of their passion and joy when they enlighten you. There's no sense of this is right and you must believe. It is more like a sense of partnership. A journey in which they are leading you to where they are also trying to go.
And I want that. I want to spread my yoke and journey with others towards everything that is good and right.
