Today i went to coquitlam to sell my car
i almost backed out
we were standing in his driveway and he was looking at it. Then we went for a drive around the block and it was wierd. I had never been in the passenger seat before. I was always the driver. We got back and i gazed upon the beautiful reflection of that unique yellow.
I almost said i wasn't selling it anymore
as i drove home, i thought about the car and how it was so much more than a car. I am suppose to drive the mercedes after this and it doesn't have the same feeling that the volvo gives you. it doesn't enstill that passion in you.
maybe the volvo has spirit. one that matches my spirit.
sometimes i think it is more like a horse and i am like an indian
we are partners who ride through the free country whereever we please.
then i thought about faith and how i had encountered it when i almost backed out
C.S. Lewis said that faith was remembering a belief that your reason had reasoned through and accepted at a time. Remembering because there would be times in which your feelings and temperment would try you and say that there is no way that this could be true. But your faith would remember that you had reasoned it out and it was logical even though it might not seem so anymore.
my faith was remembering that there was a night in which i was convinced that selling the volvo was the path that God wanted to lead me down and that i would follow him regardless of all the hurt that would follow.
that is my glimspe of faith
